The Entrance Into the Anti- World- Part Two

American Carl Anderson (Carl Anderson), studying cosmic radiation and, not knowing anything about the work of Dirac, noticed on a photographic plate trace of the unknown particles - a curvature of the magnetic field of the chamber indicating a positive particle with a mass equal to the mass of an electron. It was suggested that it was the antielectron that Dirak predicted. In fact, these strange particles resulted from cosmic rays which, by entering into contact with the atoms of the atmosphere, "materialized" part of their energy in electron - positron. And, indeed, rare natural antiparticles that are observed on Earth are "secondary" products of cosmic particles.

Having worked through production of free antiparticle, the rest is to produce anti-atoms and antimatter, in the true sense of the word. That experiment is performed in the CERN by the German and Italian physicists, led by Valter Olert in the accelerator LEAR ( "Low energy antiproton ring); antiprotons were in the unit, met with antielectron that spawned anti-atoms of hydrogen. Olert says that the principle is simple, and that is the process of creating of anti-world is a very complex.

In the LEAR, the square with rounded corners, a billion antiprotons circle about three million times a second - in their path is injected into a thin jet of gas xenon: In each round, a few lucky antiprotons with nuclei of xenon happens to be part of energy caused by the collision materializes in electron-positron pair. When doing so, and when the difference between the speeds of antiprotons is low enough, these two particles are able to unite in order to finally form antiatom of hydrogen. On its way, it continues in a straight line, not succumbing deviation caused by the magnets, since, as an ordinary atom, it is electrically neutral. On 10 meters, during the forty-billionth of a second, encounters plate silicon - a meeting with substance becomes fatal to it and this element immediately being canceled.

This double disintegration of the antielectron and antiprotons, measured by the two detectors, is final proof of the creation anti-atoms and anti-world. But, the creation of the anti-world is not just because of the scientific reasons. The real key objective is to make sure it always respects the nature of symmetry, this entire category of the most fundamental physics.
