Ball Spheres From Costa Rica
Over 300 ball spheres, made by human hands, were founded in Costa Rica in Disquis Delta and at the location Isla del Cano. According to some information, the first object was founded in 1930. Hundreds of other similar balls, from a couple of centimeters to the stone giants with over two meters tall were documented.
Public Decoration
The majority were made of sturdy stone called granodiorete, which is very similar to the granite. The biggest ones weight more than 15 tons.
They all made of one piece of rock, without any help of the machines. Just with human hands and simple hand tools.
Today, stone spheres, also known as a Las Bolas, could be founded around public buildings and instructions- schools, hospitals, libraries… Of course, they became some kind of the status symbol, so the wealth people like to show them in public by setting it in front of their houses, yards and gardens.
The material for the Las Bolas, the granodiorete stone, is probably from the Talamanca mountains, which lies along the border with Panama. From there, the huge pieces moved in the Terraba River, where it layed in the riverbed. Beside all that logical explanation, the question that still remained open is how the stones transported to the river. Distance between the water and mountains is about 50 miles.
First knowledge
Many investigators and adventurers claimed that they founded stone spheres first, but these stories simple are not the true. The Las Bolas were known to the scientist community in 1940, during the huge agrarian campaign.
However, the first serious publications about these strange artifacts appeared three years later. In fact, these object turn to be some kind of the agricultural tools and related to the pottery that was popular in the Costa Rica during the pre-Columbian era. Some investigators clams the main role of these objects was in the orientation, because the ball were lied according to the magnetic North pole.
Wrong theories
The theories about alien invasions and balls as a unique space transporters turn to be ordinary exaggeration. They are more the product of the lack of the knowledge and mindless destruction these artifacts. Most of them were ruined by the gold hunters who expected to reach the wealth by mining the Los Bolas.
The stone balls were made by a combination of several different techniques, such as skillful breaking, grinding, sanding and taping. Studies have shown that the spheres were treated by alternating using of the heat and cold water. There is no evidence that machines or metal tools had used in the process.
There is a big possibility that the creators of this objects were old people who spoke traditional Chibchan language, before famous Spanish conquest. They lived in the small villages with no more than 200 people. Cultivation of the citrus fruit, palms, peppers and fishing were their main activity. In some location, investigators founded remains of the rare plant seed, which means these people had a knowledge about healing process.
