The mysterious murder in Sweden known as "Atlas Vampire" and today confuse police experts in the country. The executor of this horrible murder was never found. Despite of the fact that this murder was committed more decades ago.
Glorious and gruesome murder was named after Atlas, neighborhood in Stockholm. In 1932, in Atlas was killed Lili Lindstrom, 32-year-old prostitute who regularly received her clients in her apartment. The last person who saw Lili alive was her neighbor Mini Jenson, who was also a prostitute.
One day, Lili went to the Mini to borrow a couple of condoms. Since she didn’t come to her next morning, as well as next two days, Mini called the police.
When they broke into her apartment, police could not even dream about that for a few seconds they will have a crime scene that will confusing people and experts for decades.
On the bed in the bedroom, Lili was lying on her stomach. It is estimated that at the time, she had been dead for two or three days. She was naked and her clothes were neatly folded on a chair that stood beside the bed.
It was clear that Lily had sex shortly before she was killed. In her rectum was found the condom, and on her head were traces of blows with a blunt object.
Detailed analysis of the body shocked the police. It has been shown that in the body there was no blood, and at her neck were found traces of saliva. This is the reason why the case called the "The Atlas Vampire".
Given that the forensics as a science was still at a very primitive level back then, and the possibility of DNA analysis did not existed at all, the inspectors were never able to find the killer. However, even today, experts don’t have a clue what might happened there.
Items from her room and are now on display at the Police Museum in Stockholm, and a musician Erik Malmberg in 2007 published instrumental called "In memory of Lily".
