You Didn’t Know This About GMO- Part Two
Upon completion of the research results are forwarded to independent researchers who verified the whole story refused to include in the famous scientific journal "FUD and TECHNOLOGY"
The current situation in Europe is that there are some of the strictest laws against GMO, banning the import, export, processing and trade of GMO products.
However, the main problem here is in the inadequate implementation of laws. We have illegal cultivation, especially genetically modified soy.
We do not control all the contingents of imported goods. This also means that significant contingents of imported food is produced on the basis of GMOs are present in traffic in almost all European countries. This is primarily related to the sale of meat and milk imported from abroad from animals that are fed with genetically modified soybean and corn, and that the meat on our market is not marked on the basis of GMOs.
Of course, the study has sparked an immediate reaction of Monsanto, which only a few hours after the publication started relentless campaign against Seralini. They asked that the study be banned and dismissed as scientifically unfounded, with some really strange claims, like the one that "Seralini used the wrong rat" or something like this. They drew their strongest weapon, corruption, and the whole shameful campaign eventually resulted in the withdrawal of this great article with the incredible explanation that "the conclusions are not clear".
This abandonment of article was the result of activity of Richard E. Goodman, a former Monsanto employee, who was hired to non-existent function in the journal "Food end Technologies SA" by the Monsanto company. He was appointed as "deputy editor of Biotechnology", and one of his first "editorial interventions" was the withdrawal mentioned article as "unfounded".
However, Seralini and his team continued research and studies in rats, and eventually founded an alarming number of cancer, severe organ damage and premature death in rats fed Monsanto's product.
About the power of Monsanto testifies the fact that the company managed to leave the tentacles and to some of the most powerful institutions in Europe and they also in the Commission for GMOs in the EU tried to ban the further spread of the study, while its body EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) condemned the study, although itself did not carry out any verification of the same.
