Legend says that she set the fire to prevent that anyone go to the attic, a place no one wants to visit. It was the place where madam brutally beat, tortured and butchered her slaves. People form near houses immediately helped to their beloved neighbor. She yelled that her property has to be saved, not the slaves, who were captured in the attic storage room, because they are not important!

When firefighters rushed and opened the attic door, horrible smell of burnt a human flesh drifted them. The scene was horrifying. The room was covered in blood, feces and body parts. Slaves were chained, with burns and necklaces with spikes. Some were cut off limbs, and all had numerous bruises, scars and transplanted genitals. Their nails were pulled out and eyes gouged out!

When the madam was captured, she just coolly said: "Some people, should stay at home and should not be mixed with others and to go out and bother."

Discovery of dungeon horror has become the main theme. People were angry and vandalized with the site founded in the villa. Family La Lori had previously managed to stay alive and escape from New Orleans.

The slaves after the discovery of horrific murders were taken to the local jail, where they were observed as a circus act, in order to ensure the citizens of cruelty unprecedented crime that was committed to them. Around 4,000 people paraded imprisonment, to be satisfied of the accuracy of the rumor.

La Lori’s family home was occupied several years after the fire. Investigators found more bodies that were buried in the backyard or walled up in the foundations of the house. They even found a corpse of a baby who was buried under the wood floor in the kitchen.

Several decades after the event, people constantly claimed that the house is occupied and that they see the ghosts of slaves who died here in agony. The house was renovated and it was everything during the past, from school to the furniture store. Anyone who has lived in the house after the fire saw some unusual and strange things. People were reported to the police that their furniture was suddenly covered with a mysterious sticky substance that during the night appeared like "white shadow". The house has several times changed owners and became known as a haunted house.
