Mystery About Illuminates- Part Three

Recruiting members was an easy job. Many of them were of noble birth - Baron Xavier von Zwack, Adolf von Knigge, Alexander Radischev, Claudio Manuel da Costa, JW Goethe and Mozart. Soon after its establishment, Weishaupt understood that the best way for the implementation of his plans was infiltration of members of the Illuminati in the Masonic Lodge. Masons at the time were influential semisecret society that in their ranks gathered elite people.

Infiltration into the Masonic Lodge had two advantages: since for Masons everyone knew that some of their rituals are secret, Weishaupt was counting that his plans will be shrouded in secrecy, but that the public will not pay attention to them because they used certain dose for secrecy when it comes to Masons. Second, since many Masons were influential people, they would be easily recruited for the Illuminati goals. Silent putsch was carried out effectively. Weishaupt, together with a fellow Freemason (who is already intended to centralize Freemasonry) recruited numerous Illuminati from the highest ranks of the Freemasons.

Weishaupt organized his secret society based on the hierarchy of the Freemasons. There were three classes: Nursery, which consisted of the Apprentice, beginners, Minerval and Illuminatus Minor. Second, Masonic classes, contained levels of Illuminatus Major and Illuminatus Dirigens. The third class called Mysteries was divided into Lower (Presbyter and Regent) and more mysteries (Magus and Rex). In the lowest class, advancement is accomplished by writing a scientific thesis, advancing in the middle class was similar to the Masonic initiation rites, while there are no written traces and documents. As already mentioned, the main objective of the Illuminati was to destroy the government, and especially religion. Weishaupt had seen human reason as the only authority, and religion as an obstacle reason.

Dragging an analogy with the parts of the Bible, he understood that his organization is like the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. What is the biblical God withheld from men, that Weishaupt’s religion offers its followers, along with the world powers.

While traditional religion claims that man is a sinner, a priori, Weishaupt thesis is that man is basically not bad - religion and the state are the ones who make it bad. To come out of such a situation, one should use common sense. Because of such learning Church has condemned Illuminate as admirers of the devil and reacted strongly against them.
