List Of Eternal Bodies

We live, die, and rot in the end. So at least it should be, right? However, there are people whose bodies after death simply does not follow this principle. More precisely, they do not rot.

Saint Betina Zita

Saint Zita for life was considered as one very lovely person and she belonged to the people that everyone loved. When he died in 1272, people made a cult. Three hundred years later, in the Middle Ages, her body was exhumed, and to the astonishment of all, the body wasn’t rotted at all. For all unfaithful ones, her mummified body was and still is the Basilica of San Frediano, in the Italian town of Luka.

Dorzi Itigilov

Itigilov was a Buddhist lama who escaped from Russia. He asked his friends to start the ceremonies for his funeral in 1927, although he was very much alive. He died during meditation, sitting. In his will he left strict instructions modes own funeral, and he asked that his body be exhumed several years after his death. His body was described "as the body of a person who died before 36 hours."

Inca Girl

Approximately five centuries ago, fifteen-year-old girl from Inca died when hiking in Argentina. Her head hit the sharp rock and left standing dead in a sitting position. Qin Jouy

Lady Qin Jouy was the wife of a Chinese nobleman from the Han Dynasty. She lived a very extravagant way of life at that time. She ate a lot of meat (which was not very common), and she worked nothing. The pace of her at the end and cost the lives, since 163 BC died of obesity. When her body was discovered in 1971, her skin was soft and limbs are normally bent at the joints. Nobody understands that her body remained preserved like this for almost two thousand years!

Saint Catherine Labour

St. Catherine was known for his famous visions, especially when in 1830 The Virgin Mary appeared to her. Soon, thousands of Catholics began to wear a medallion engraved with the visions and words of Catherine. She was buried in 1876 and exhumed in 1933 when to the astonishment of all, the body was absolutely intact. Today you can visit Paris and see her preserved body.
