Mysterious Archeological Discoveries
The archaeological discoveries that witness to some past times are so mysterious that confuse scientists. Here's why. They witness to history that is different from official history we all learned in school.
Unfinished Obelisk
The unfinished obelisk is the largest known ancient obelisk in the world. It is located in the area of quarries of ancient Egypt in Ausana and it was commissioned by Queen Hatshepsut (1508-1458. BC), probably as a complement to the Lateran obelisk (originally found at Karnak, but was later transferred to the Lateran palace in Rome).
If it was completed, this would be the largest obelisk in Egypt.
Jonaguna Monument
Experts argue over whether this underwater monument in the waters of Japan was created by nature or by the work of human hands. It consists of two rock formations that look like they've been put there, just like formations above them known as the "turtle".
The stone balls in Costa Rica
Mysterious giant balls are pretty much unknown to the wider public. It is assumed that they have been made by members of the people Dikvis, who lived between 700 and 1530 and the legend says Legend that balls are made in mysteriou Atlantis.
Longjou Caves
The huge tunnels in Jehijanu (China) date from 212 BC. From floor to ceiling are covered with precise lines at an angle of 60 degrees.
Gobekli Tepe
This significant archaeological discovery has led scientists to re-examine beliefs about the origins of human society. The monument, unveiled at the top of a mountain in Turkey, originated from a time before people began to engage in agriculture (10th millennium BC), suggesting that civilization were created by primitive religions, and not trade.
Mohenjo-Daro
This interesting ancient city was built in 2,600 BC in today's Pakistan and is one of the oldest examples of urban planning. The city has a system of roads and waste- water disposal, like a sewer.
Saksajuaman
It is a fortress around Cuzco (Peru), the former capital of the Incas. Giant stones are tightly coupled so that even after hundreds of years between them is not possible to slip even a sheet of paper.
L'Anse aux Meadows
It is assumed that the settlement in North America built by Vikings, 500 years before Columbus discovered the continent. It's incredible to think that the Vikings from their native northern Europe have made it to North America.
