The Ghosts From SS Watertown- Part Two

And the following day faces of two dead sailors were noticeable in the waters of the Pacific. There had been big controversy, which was led on board about whether the spirits follow them through the Panama Canal, but in the moment when the SS Watertown left the waters of the Pacific and sailed the waters of the Panama Canal, faces disappeared and by the end of navigation, they did not occur again.

Report and Camera

Upon arrival in New Orleans, Captain Tracey submitted his report to his superiors, CITGO oil company, which still exists today, in which he provided details of death of two sailors and subsequent unexplained events on board. Captain Tracey got the advice in return to buy a camera and record all events during the ride back to Los Angeles.

On the way back, there was no sign of the ghosts of two sailors until SS Watertown did not go back through the Panama Canal and sailed again the waters of the Pacific Ocean.

When the SS Watertown back in the Pacific, the crew continued to see faces of two dead sailors, not so often as before, but enough for captain Tracey to make 6 photos. Having photographed the waves, the captain locked the film and the camera in the ship's safe.

When they finally arrived to the port, the captain sent the film to develop in New York, and from 6 photos he had made, on five it was nothing, but on the sixth picture...

Sixth photo showed the two faces in the waves of the ocean, two well-known and very well formed heads that float on a penny wave turbulence, generated by ship propellers. Both heads fit very well with the rest of the photo, which means it was not a product of some kind of photomontage.

Negative was then sent to the famous Burns detective agency in Chicago to check, but no traces of falsification or modification of the film was not found.

Mystery

And as the two unfortunate sailors are concerned, their faces in the sea have been seen during the third trip, although with less frequency. Fourth time there was not, at least not for the rest of the crew of the ship SS Watertown. From some reasons, the company that owned the ship fired the rest of the fleet and whole original crew, and spirits, apparently were not connected to the ship as a crew and no longer appeared.

Throughout the next ten years this story has remained a mystery. However the magazine of the company published a story about ghosts on the SS Watertown. Unfortunately, after ten years it has become very difficult to trace witnesses firsthand, but the basis of the story, as well as an amazing photo that made Captain Keith Tracey, remain to testify about the mysterious events on the SS Watertown.

One of the most common "scientific" explanation is that the crew was suffering from stress caused by the death of their friend. This phenomenon is called Pareidolia. Sailors, according to this explanation, were connected to the net of shared visual hysteria.
