Unexplained Historical Facts- Part One

These days, when we can get all possible information about almost everything, we tend to believe that we know everything. It is undisputed that we, thanks to techniques such as carbon dating, digital reconstruction and computer archiving can learn a lot about our primitive ancestors, but there are a few important things in history that scientists have not been able to explain, despite years of research.

1. How ancient Egyptians looked like?

We know almost everything about the nation that lived in the Nile valley for more millennia: we decrypt their letter, we know what gods they worshiped, the history of their civilization, and the first name of the majority of mummified figures that we have, in the name of science, removed from their sarcophagi.

The only thing we do not know is who they really were. IN other words, we do not know to which race they belonged and how they really look like, since each mummy, after several thousand years of hell in the desert heat, takes racially homogenous clay color.

Most people probably imagine that the ancient Egyptians looked like the inhabitants of the Middle East, since they presented in the movies in that way. However, they got such characteristics only after the Persian conquest of Egypt, thousands of years after the death of the pyramid builders.

You might think that the answer lies in the ancient Egyptian painting and that we could determinate the color of the skin of the ancient pharaohs based on the stored art. The fact is, however, that the Egyptian art is greatly stylized, whereby men are often portrayed in red and women in yellow.

Greek sources describe them as "dark-skinned" and "curly hair", but it seems that scientists should start their quest from the fact that the Egyptians probably originated from Africa, where Egypt is actually located.

2. Giant basalt heads in Central America

In ancient times, people were very adept at moving the giant rocks, primarily because in the Stone Age they did not have different choice. Although channel "Historians" insists that Stonehenge and the Great were made by the aliens, it is true that science has a few good theories about how people made these giant structures that inspire awe.

Scientists, however, have no explanation what was the purpose of the colossal stone heads with helmets that were made in Central America by Olmecs, ancestors of the Incas, Mayas and Aztecs. Each head weighs nearly 20 tons, and the interesting part here is that the wheel had not yet been invented during the Olmecs civilization. The real question is how they managed to transport these huge stones through the jungle at the hellish temperatures?

If you thought you were served a similar method as the ancient Egyptians when building the pyramids, we will remind you that it is not the same if you drag a load through the desert or pulling heavy stones 130 kilometers through the area covered by dense vegetation. This technique would not work in this situation.
