A Global Asbestos Conspiracy
We just have to highlight and some basic things about the asbestos. This term refers to the broader group of the certain mineral silicates. When we are talking about the masonry and building material, then we are talking about six major types. A majority of them, five to be precise, have been banned from use around the world. However, in some countries, especially in India, this material is still in use.
Strong Lobby
In the countries that belong to the so called western political block (USA, Australia plus Europa), people freak out when someone even mention asbestos. As we said, the situation is quiet opposite in India and other 150 countries that still allows this material in industry. But what is s trick about this blocks and why they are banned in some states and not in other. This is really hard question to be answered. However, some people think they know the answer. They think it is a conspiracy behind the story about the asbestos.
According to some theories, the lobby of producers of other materials is behind this entire negative story- the producers of other materials such as iron, bricks.
Killer Dust?
However, it not as it looks. According to the Environmental Criteria Document it is said that the level of the asbestos is far more higher when it is emitted from natural sources than it is emitted from asbestos bricks. In that way, every person drinks or eats more than 10.000 fibers of this material every single day. And that is far more than we can intake it because of the building material. This is a reason why more and more people believe that negative story about the asbestos is classic conspiracy and nothing more. This is also a reason why more and more people do not believe in the story that this material is killer dust anymore. Do you?
We also have a number of medical studies that indicate that low level of asbestos fibers is not harmful for human health. You should also know that this allowed level is higher than it can be emitted from the bricks.
The List
On the other hand, nobody ever stated that these fibers are safe if we inhale or drink them in a high concentration. It could be very dangerous if we use this material without taking necessary precautions procedures. It is, as we said, nothing strange. However, we have a ton other materials that are also potentially dangerous if they are used in the wrong way. They are listed in the document that was published by the Toxic Substances and Disease Registry of United States. Some of these potentially dangerous are nickel, silver, aluminum… How come that nobody banned those materials. This is subject for very serious discussion.
The weirdest thing is that asbestos is still in use in America, but not as building material. It is used as water pipes. Nobody is not so crazy to allow using this material for water supply if it is so dangerous. We will say it again: It is a conspiracy and nothing else.
