World’s Scariest Creatures- Part One

There a many things around us that even modern science cannot understand. However, they are real and exist. Those things are far beyond the power of the science and human reason. This is surely not the reason to conclude that those things are not real. They are. More than we think. This is an article about these strange beings, which appearance has been reported in a number of cases during the time.

Unusual Powers

As you probably know, almost all cultures and nations and cultures have their own stories about strange creatures. Some of them have very unusual powers, some of them are like animals and some are almost unthinkable. However, they all have something same. They are all extremely strange. Before you continue with reading, try to remember what creatures are characteristic in your culture.

When we say strange creatures, almost all people instinctively think of monster for Loch Ness or Bigfoot. However, these two creatures are just the beginning in the world of mystery. This is a reason why we have decided to make one short list about the monsters that have occupied human mind for centuries. We do not have our favorites; they are all exceptional and winners in certain way.

Now the Loch Ness Monster or Bigfoot are no-brainers in these regards. They probably instantly came to mind the moment you read the title. But Nessie and Bigfoot only begin to describe the fat pantheon of mysterious creatures scattered the world over.

Aswang

The honor to open the list of the world’s scariest creatures belongs to the Aswang, horrifying monster form Philippines. It is more powerful than “ordinary” vampires simply because it represents a mixture of the vampire, werewolf. He also likes to such human’s blood, but this creature is also famous because it eats unborn babies. This is bizarre even for the biggest fans of the horrors and science fiction. Even more bizarre about this creature is that it has an ability to cut itself into two parts and fly away with its upper part.

The second place belongs to the Burrunjor and it has a significant place in the mythology of the Aborigines from Australia. A number of people reported that they saw some strange creature in the period between 1950- 1960. They accused Burrunjor for missing animals and people all over the continent.

This is a typically Australian creature, if we may say. This is nothing strange, because Australia is an isolated continent with a number of endemic species.

Kikiyaon

We all would agree that creature that eats human flesh is something horrible. But what about the creature that feeds with human’s souls. Kikiyaon is exactly that kind of monster. It eats people’s souls. How nasty is that. This monster operates in the Africa savannahs. Beside the fact that Kikiyaon is known as human predator (he can kill every living creature with its long teeth), it has one additional power- everyone who hear its birdcall will die soon. In addition, it has ability of killing people in their dreams. Such an ancient version of the Freddy Krueger and Elm Street serial.
