About the Serpent Worship
If you look at the old manuscripts, articles and books, you will realize that the serpents were very important for ancient people and that they were a key part in their customs, religions, superstition and even art. Ancient Battle
This is such a mystery. And really, why people were so obsessed with the snakes and why some folks still have a cult dedicated to the serpents. In the tradition of the Native Americans, there is a story about the great battle men and strange beings that were just like snakes. Charroux added that ancient people presented those gods always in the same shape- in the shape of the flying snakes or dragons.

If we go this way, then we might conclude that stories about the dragons were not the superstitions of the ancient people, but the descriptions of the reality that is unthinkable to today’s folks.
We had a similar situation with famous Aztecs civilization, which literally vanished in the 13th century. Although many historians and experts in the ancient societies studied this progressive civilization did not learn all the parts of their religion. In the center of the Aztecs’ religious cult was a horrible practice of the killed in the glory of the gods- the gods of unknown religion. The most important thing was that people use symbols of the snakes in their cults. In fact, snakes and dragons were the most important in this civilization and almost all people wore talismans with the snake shapes.
Even the people of the present still worship the snakes. People in some parts of Mexico, for example, always have some snake in the yard or even the house because this animal is considered as a guardian of the home. It is like some personal keeper from the evil spirits and God’s anger.
We have the almost identical situation in other parts of the Central America. In some cultures, mainly the native ones, a spitting cobra is still sacred animal and its shape is attached to almost all important buildings. In addition, people from the Cherokee tribe have the name for it and they call these animals as the head of the tribe of the serpents.
