The Missing People From The Lighthouse
The missing people are everywhere and nowhere. They are just missing. In most cases, they have gone without any trace. This is happening right now all over the world. The missing persons are children, adults and older people. There are no rules about their ages or their education. Everyone can be a victim.
Flannan Isles Mystery
Although some disappearances are very easy to resolve, there is an almost endless list of unsolved cases and people that are considered as missing for years, even decades. No one knows where they are and why they have disappeared.
Let’s go to the beautiful Flannan Isles or Seven Hunters in Scotland. As we know, these islands are part of the bigger group that we call Outer Hebrides.
The most distinguished sights on the Flannan Isles is, apart from the beautiful nature, the famous lighthouse. However, this object is not just beautiful and useful for the boats that sail near the island, but is also keeping the mystery that occurred in the past.
In 1900, just before the Christmas, the crew of the ship on its regular route to the Edinburgh spotted something strange on the isolated lighthouse- it seemed the device was broken, which is the reason why the captain decide to inform the authorities just after the docking.
Rescue Team
The officials reacted quickly and they sent a rescue boat on the isolated island. The name of the boat was Hesperus. The chief of the rescue team Jim Harvie ordered his men to investigate the entire island and they did. They find nothing! Three men who were supposed to work in the lighthouse- James Ducat, Tomas Marshall and Donald MacArthur were disappeared without any trace.
The rescue team was surprised with the fact that everything in the lighthouse was as it supposed to be- the entire mechanism was cleaned and oiled and all dishes were cleaned and on its spot. The team concluded that the missing men disappeared in the noon, just before the lunch.
According to other traces, it seemed the men did not sleep in their beds. The strange thing was that clocks in the lighthouse did not work. The clockwise did not move. After they wrote their report, the rescue team left the island. They were confused and frightened.
A Number Of Theories
People started to spread theories about the missing of three men from the lighthouse on the isolated island. Some think the huge storm caused disappearing. However, this hypothesis turned to be wrong because the last news from the working day-book had a date December 15.
This was one day before the mentioned storm.
According to the second theory, some big wave pulled the men into the open sea and they drowned.
There were a few suspicious people who thing the murder was involved in this case. They thought one of the lighthouse keepers probably killed the rest of the team and buried them somewhere in the island.
Whatever it was, three men from the beacon never found. They are still missing, which make their case on of the greatest mystery of the Scotland and beyond.
