The Strange Creature From Georgia
A bunch of hunters, mainly local folks from the Ochamchir in Georgia (former SSSR), were walking through the dense and impenetrable forest when they noticed some strange creature in front of them. It was in 1850 in the area of Ochamchir in Georgia (former SSSR). This strange creature was something they simply could not forget.
Strange Catch
It was something like human, but not exactly. The hunters explained later the creature looked like a female, but very similar to the ape. They also noticed that some of the body parts, such as arms, legs and hand were unusually big and thick. The creature was covered with dense fur along whole body.
The “hunt” was successful at the end, because the hunters have managed to catch young female. They took the creature to the peaceful, but isolated settlement near Sukhumi, where they “gave” the female to the influential local Edi Genaba.
The ape-woman was very aggressive, which is the reason why the creature was kept isolated in the improvised cage. It was not strange the local folks were scared and terrified with the creature. They tried not to be near the cage. They were so scared that the creature was fed by throwing the food.
However, time passed and the woman-ape becomes more familiar and less wild. The locals gave her the name Zana. At the beginning she was transferred in the separate shack, but after several months, she was completely free to walk through the village. It is interesting that Zana never escaped from the village and she was always near her shack and feeding place.
Physical Strength
Ape-woman mastered some simple skills and she helped farmers in corn grinding and similar works. However, she never managed to learn even the simplest words and the only way of communication with others was by howling.
It is also interesting that women from the village were frightened despite Zana’s harmlessness, because the female was often in a bad mood. However, her real master, mentioned Edgi Genaba, was the only person in the village who was not afraid of her and who had a full control under her.
The locals were also fascinated with Zana’s extraordinary physical strength- according to some witnesses, she was able not just to outrun the horse, but also to lift around 100 kilograms with one hand!
Although the creature was extremely strong and durable, she could not bear the heat, which is the reason why she walked naked even during the cold days. She also could not stay in the heated rooms.
In the other hand, Zana loved to drink wine and she was often drunk.
Eventually, Zana passed away 1890. Unfortunately, scientists did not manage to examine her remains, because her body was disappeared. However, Zana had a bunch of children, which all was dark and extremely strong.
According to some theorists, Zana might be some kind of relative of the Soviet version of the Big Foot. According to the theory of the famous professor Boris Porchnev, Zana is a direct descendant of the Neanderthal creautures and missing link in the human evolution.
