People are literally obsessed with secret societies and the mystery that spreads around them. Reason for that is in the human mind because people just love secrets, they are in their blood. If we continue with this, we will see the obsession with secret societies is not surprising at all.

If we want to be honest, secret societies are not something natural in today’s world- they are more as a paradox. Why? Simply because it is very hard for secrets to be kept in the world of advanced technology and fast information. Internet and mobile phones are something that shows everything in public- at the real time.
Order of the Assassins or the Hashshashin (Order of Devoted Masters of the Quiet Death) is the secret movement from Persia and according some historians, this society was firstly mentioned around 1080 A.D. For the record, this period was before the First Crusade. First grandmaster of the Order of the Assassins was Hassan Sabbah. His teaching was based on the opinion that war is useless, because he was suggesting assassinations of certain persons as the best way for achieving the goals.
Lucifer And Other Stories
Bavarian Illuminati or just Illuminati were established in 1776 with the original name Order of Perfectibilists. The father of this movement was Adam Weishaupt, distinguished professor at German Bavarian University.
The official goals of this secret society were fighting against prejudice and all those superstitions of that time. Although their tasks were positive and harmless, the opponents did not think so. According to them, the Illuminati were a dangerous group whose goals were against the king and church- two most important institutions. In the worst scenario, the Illuminati were declared as a group of individuals with just one goal- establishing the utopic society, which would be ruled by the Lucifer- Devil itself.

Skull and Bones is another interesting secret society. It was also known as The Order, Chapter 322 or Brotherhood of Death. The order was established in 1832 at the University of Yale. Two men were vital for founding this strange company: Huntington Russell, dangerous opium dealer and Alphonso Taft, father of ex-president of the USA William Howard Taft.
The strangest accusation against them is that they are in the possession of the Geronimo’s, Pancho Villa’s and Martin van Buren’s skulls which were, allegedly, stolen from their graves.
The famous racists in the USA are horrible Ku Klux Klan, a secret organization that was founded in 1865 in the state of Tennessee. Their goal was crystal clear- establishing the supremacy of the white race across North America.
The most bizarre in the history of the Klan was the fact that at least two American presidents were enamored in this movement. According to the historians, famous Woodrow Wilson stated these racists were very important for surviving of the white American people. However, this was not the worst thing. 29th president of USA Warren G. Harding was the full member of the Klan!
The great change in the activity of the movement has occurred in 1983, when the leaders of the society decided to distance from the government and to continue their activity in deep secrecy.
