Parapsychology- The Science Of Anomalies
It is very hard to define what parapsychology actually is. Its interests spread on the foggy field between science and superstition or magic. It is both rational theory and the delusion. This is the reason why the parapsychology resists to be strictly defined. On the other hand, it is something that is much wider than the science or the magic- it exceeds these categories. In the short, parapsychology starts when the ratio and belief hit the wall.

Even we cannot determine it without the mentioned troubles, the main problems this strange kind of the psychology is usually struggling with are related to unexplained human experience or the “psychic”- the world of the paranormal.
There is a huge confusion about who have the right to be called as a parapsychologist. It seems everybody is the expert for the paranormal today. Just open the yellow pages or browse the Web. You will see that the bunch of the mentalists (mind readers), astrologers and classic shrinks belong to the parapsychology category. However, we must draw some lines and clarify some things.
It Is A Science
The experts in the paranormal are now the part of the American Association of the Advancement of Science, one of the biggest scientific institutions in the world. It means it is official organization and those people are considered as a scientist. In the other hand, all those mind readers cannot be considered as a scientist, because they officially belong to the group of the charlatans and magicians.
We all know the human experience can be divided on the subjective and objective part. That is what official science tells us. The parapsychologists do not think so. For them, there is not a strict border between subjective and objective phenomena, because everything is mixed up. These bilateral occurrences are known as anomalies, and that is exactly the field of the paranormal science.
Based on all that, this science is not related to anything strange or bizarre, such as UFO, aliens or vampires. This is the theory of the phenomena that cannot be explained by the official science. The phenomena that are real, but mysterious and elusive.
The main subject of the parapsychology, anomalies, can be divided into several major groups:
Telepathy is the power and ability of communication without any kind of the words or signs. It is a direct communication between two minds.
Prediction is the mysterious ability of knowing the future events. The majority of those predictions are related to dreams, blackouts, hypnotic state and ecstasies.
Remote viewing, also known as a clairvoyance or the sixth sense is ability of knowing things and events from the future or the things that are beyond reality.
Extra Sensory Perception is a general term for previous abilities, and includes sixth sense, prediction and telepathy.
Pure mind affection on the objects is called psychokinesis or telekinesis.
Reincarnation is the belief that death is not the end of the life- it is more the end of just one phase in someone’s life.
